Battery problem
Battery problem
When I was about to go to work this morning, I turned on the ignition and the ignition sounded a little sluggish. So I thought it must have been the cold morning temperature and drove to work. After work when I was about to drive home, my car didnt start again. so I jumpstarted the car and drove home. The battery charged about 30 minutes. I then tried to start the car again in about 3 hours but the battery was dead, again. I have an 05 coupe A/T with only 15k miles on it. Why would my battery die so fast?
Just have your battery tested at an auto parts store. May not be able to hold a charge if it's gone bad. Have you checked the fluid levels in the battery or is it maintenance free?
With 15k miles on it and it being at least 3 years old...sounds like you don't drive it much.

If you don't drive a car very often, you should have a "battery minder" float charger on it to maintain the voltage on the battery at a steady 13.8 volts. This will keep the calcification to a minimum and make the battery last for many years. You can get one at Wally World for about $20. It even has a plug you can add to the battery terminals so you just plug in when you park it at home.
