2003 G35 Coupe 6MT: What to look out for?

After some preliminary research, I am leaning towards pursuing this for my next car. Although new to this post, I have read many posts here and am even more convinced:-)

I suspect this may have been asked before but can't seem to find it in a search.

I would appreciate any advice on what to look out for (problems, weaknesess etc) in a 2003 Coupe 6MT.

The god damn seats!!! NO MEMORY SEATS!! for 51k (canadian) i would at least expect the car to remeber my damn sitting position.... But just because of that all 3 other passangers have to go in throught the right side.... or walk.... its their descision.

Uh.....I think he was interested in more maintenance issues than the type of issue you are describing.

One suggestion is to check for tire feathering. Move the steering wheel all the way to one side to get a good view of the front tires. You will be able to see if the tire is wearing unevenly.

Check things like brakes, rock chips and the usual things. A good investment would be a Carfax report as well.

I thinks he's looking for possible problems on a used 6MT. Not a wish list.
Make sure there are no squeaks/rattles in the rear deck, sunroof, mirror, and doors. Make sure there are no grease streaks on the windows. The CD changer might be a little slower if it's an early 2003 model. Also, make sure that the previous owner did not have an aftermarket intake that may have damaged the AC line in the engine bay.

Look for problems with the Pilot Sport tires, if it has 18"s.

Brembo pads should be replaced around 20,000 miles.

Check for excessing ground scraping, especially around exhaust.

Buy a new one.... the prices for used ones seem ridiculous!

Nw those are funny.....but true. Tires, brakes, and chips would be on my check list followed by the rattles by the parcel shelf.

Thank you all for your kind responses.

So far, glassfan is right! The prices for used ones seem very high and close to a new one especially if the stars align for a good deal. I'm gonna keep looking but perhaps more for private sellers.
