I always thought this was due to the weight of the stock flywheel.

That very well could be the cause on some makes of cars. Without someone knowing definitively if there is programming in the G to make the revs hang for emissions reasons, we will just keep guessing.

A friend of mine has a civic SI and the rev hang on that car was ridiculous. Apparently there is a service bulletin out to fix that issue on the car. And it is also fixed with a re-flash called the hondata.

Can anyone with a re-flash or tune chime in about the rev hang on their car?

It's partially rev-hang and partially the (very) heavy flywheel.

^ lol i know this. I was simply referring that the rev-hang issues on the civic SI's (which are also DBW) could be fixed by re-flash. Wondering if a re-flash or tune can be done with our cars to reduce the rev hang.

i personally think its the flywheel. i just got a jwt flywheel with stock clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearinsg. i notice it is way easier to drive. it was hard to hit 2nd gear smoothly before, which i chalked up to the heavy stock flywheel... it is much easier to drive smooth now.

of courswe there is a msall amount of noise below 2000 due to the LWFW

Thanks to everyone for replying. It sounds like a lot of other people are having similar experiences. (I'm glad it's not just me). I hope that there is a flash/re-programming available soon... Or something of the sort to make it a little more sport-driver friendly. I haven't looked into the grounding kits yet, but I will.
Thanks again,
BT
