i think when the lexus is300 first came out, a lot of ppl (but mostly kids and rice-racers) raved about it. perhaps it's the ppl that i'm around, but almost everyone i know do not like the is300 because it looks too much like a rice-racer car instead of a luxury car. i will admit lexus is a better luxury brand overall, but infiniti rocks too. i just think the is300 needs a major redesign in styling and power since i think it's a little outdated.
as far as which one gets more looks, i really don't care. what i do know is that is300's are a dime a dozen around where i live. and they are considered kiddie-cars. even the lexus salespeople have said to me that usually it's the 25 year old and under that are looking to purchase it.
sorry, i'll stick with my g-coupe. it's all a matter of opinion but i think our coupe looks way better : )

they are fr*ggn 2 totally diff styled cars, I just didnt like the way the IS forum was bashing the G35c that it looks "bloated" like a "bug", yes IS do turn heards but that was a few years back, yes the G35c still turn heads but that would only last for another year or so, new cars that come out always gets the heat for a few years so I don't think people should be comparing 2 cars that have

And another thing to you lexus owners, you're talking bout infiniti being nissans but who owns lexus? Yes, toyota, with the MOST COMMON cars, celica (slow), corolla (very common), camry (the family man's car), etc etc

i think everyone will agree there was a phase where the IS was a favorite...i liked it a lot when it came out too, not until my buddy got it...now wats funni is hes droolin over my car ever since i got it =) and every damn IS i see out there is an AUTO...not to mention i totally SMOKEd my buddies IS heh

My opinion's not worth any more than the next guy's (except to me), but when I first saw the IS300 and read a bit about it I thought it was a pretty nice car in the BMW 3 series vein. I was driving a 3 series 5MT/Sport at the time though, and the IS didn't ignite much of a burning desire for me to trade.
The G coupe on the other hand absolutely lit me up. The first time I laid eyes on it at the NYC car show I had an "absolutely gotta have it" moment of the first order. So I did, less than two months later. That was a year ago. It's still my dream car...

If you want power, go with the G35.
If you want look, go with the IS300.

Who really cares what the Lexus guys think. All I know is my girl told me the G is the pick over the IS. I looked at both and everyone I asked said no contest G has the looks.
I too have also gotten the question.how much does that care cost. Fifty, sixty thousand, ask any IS owners if they get that question.
By the way I also ripped a guy in a IS a new cornhole on the turnpike heading down to the Keys this weekend. His whoopy cushion muffler didn't help him. LOLOLOL

Come on guys lets be civilized here. No need to be mean to IS 300 owners. Treat them as you would treat ladies. That's what I do, my sister owns one.
Kidding aside, my friend had a nice fixed up one a few years back. He sold it and got a sti. My girl says the Is300 looks alot like the civic.

not to hate..but the IS300 IMO is a suped up corolla..hahaha...

Ok honestly this is one of those posts that will NEVER EEEVERRR end. This is like a patato farmer trying to convince those chinese rice farmers that its better to grow patatoes. Obviously they are going to say the IS is better and we are going to say the G is better and you cant start comparing because each side has different likes and dislikes (thusly why one chose one car over the other). So if you ask me please end this crap.

ok heres the real deal. I think that the IS yeah its a nice car and all, and it drives pretty well, but seriously guys we are comparing apples and oranges. The IS is a freakin old ladies, old persons car, its nothing short of a joke for personal appearance. If i saw it twice from the front i would mistake it for a civic. And the back of it, ohh please, other than the interior of the car thats all thats nice. Our car has not only a sporty look to it but it has class, and obviously the driver who bought the car has class just for choosin the car. Our car is compared to hgih end mercades, bmw's and other sports cars while the IS is compared to heck it should be compared to oldsmobiles, crystlers ect. I think our car gets a lot better looking girls and everything, unless your outside of a nursing home with an IS then i dont think you should buy the car. The G on the other hand, you go to a mall or something or pick a girl up and her first impression is, is that really yours. She is in shock.
I could only rememeber 2 weeks after i got my black coupe, it was all polished and I had just gotten a car wash. I picked up my girlfriend, and she was like, shut up is that yours or is it your dads. When i told her it was mine she was amazed, her first questions was "could I drive it" My answer of course was are you sick, i dont even let my own brother drive it. Well simply hot girls dig G's, i mean seriously G35 = girls love it even past 35. The IS on the other hand is really only for grandpas, so unless your freakin Bradd Pitt in an IS dont plan on turning any heads.
