My wife and I had driven the Lexus IS300 and thought it to be a nice car. I was looking into buying one but when I saw the G35 Coupe I forgot about the Lexus. I took a big chance as I bought the car without my wife seeing it or test driving it. I test drove both Sedan and Coupe and I was torn between the two but I really loved the coupe. I called my wife and she starts complaining that we needed the sedan so I said to her is the extra doors worth my happiness and that ended her complaining.
It hit my wife that I had driving the same car for 16 years now and it was my turn to have something nice. In that same time period she had 6 cars. I still was a little worried she wouldn't like it for some reason so the salesman said if she didn't like it I could come back the next day and get the sedan. That night I meet up with my wife and there was no problems in keeping the coupe. She loves it in fact she said this: I never thought any car was sexy until I saw your car.

I have had a few ladies wave at me while I'm in the car knowing full well its the car and not me they like. My wife when driving the car has said men do the same to her.

So the G35 has more chick appeal!!!!

 

Lexus had Rod Millen do a project and it worked. IS 430. THough TTE (Toyota Team Europe) did it maybe 2 years BEFORE. The engine fits fine in the current IS, only 2lbs heavier and really only requires moving the air-box.
It won't be sold in this generation. The Lexus LF-C concept which previews IS styling next time around had the 4.3 liter V-8 as well. Lexus promises to offer multiple engines and bodystyles of the next IS (sedan, wagon, coupe/hardtop targa/convertible).

I use the is300 only if im hauling more than 2 people..if it's just me and the women then i use the coupe..plain and simple.
