Painting Engine Cover - Progress pics

Before


After primer(3 coats)


After primer(3 coats)


After gloss black (2 coats)


After gloss black (2 coats)


After yellow (2 coats)

After yellow (4 coats)


After black (4 coats) and clear (2 coats)


After yellow (3 coats) and clear (1 coat)


After black (5 coats)



sorry for iphone pics! no camera at my moms house!


Battery cover done (4 each)


Fuji done (4 each)


Black on cover done (5 black, 4 clear)






taped and ready for yellow (this was a huge pain! especially for the lettering. did it with an exacto knife.)


4 coats yellow (going to do a few more)

Coat 6 drying (messed up so had to do more coats, will do one more than 5 clear)

Window washer fluid cover (blue looked out of place, after 4 coats)





Please tell me what you think, and i really need suggestions for how to go a out painting that rectangle around the 3.5.

nice, i don't see the point of painting the black part, black... u should paint the bolts black for contrast with the yellow

i did, and its glossier now, pics dont show it. but yeah yellow part has black bolts, black part has yellow ones. no pics of those yet sorry

i painted mine also IP and flat black but the Fahking spacer install ruined it because the hood rubbed against it and my cover looked like a pro did it.

OB Coupe do'in yellow....!

I liked your before pic, clean with just the right intake mod. At least with
the yellow you won't need to paint the dip stick to match....

hmmm.... did you do any sanding to smooth the plastic?

yeah. i shud have done more aggressive grit but i didnt have any.
