Anybody drive their G35 as an everyday "beater"?

I'm not saying beater in the sense that you don't care what happens to it... it's just that some jobs require long drives and on calls! I have such a job w/ sales.. and I pumped in 500 miles my first week owning the car!

I don't want to continue at this pace... however I am curious as to how others have dealt w/ this? (Maybe something along the lines of just bringing it on call Monday/Wednesday and weekend rides?)

I got the car for the image factor when I go on my calls! Thanks in advance for help =)

Personally I only drive my car for fun and I don't have too far to travel to school (like 1.4 miles) so I cannot relate BUT... The G35 is a f*cking awesome car and it's a blast to drive. Don't stress about putting miles on the car, afterall what did you buy it for?

Same here. I only have to drive 3 miles to get to work and I only drive it in the summer. I've had mine since last July and have 9200 miles on it. It's a blast tooling around town with it and I still get stares (the car that is lol).

A 5 year old G35 with 60K miles may only be worth a few thousand dollars more than a 5 year old G35 with 160000 miles. For the ~$5K why not just drive the wheels off of your toy and enjoy? You're not really getting your moneys worth unless you're driving, right?

Yea - I got it because I need something more fuel efficient than my 2 SUV's. I have another car for the weekends.

Re: Anybody drive their G35 as an everyday "beater"?

The G is my only car and I usually drive over 400 miles a week. 8 months and 12,000 miles. While I wish I could keep the mileage down, I've come to realize that a great driving car should be driven. So it's all good.

Not me

My beater is a '98 S10 PU. I've had three flats with it in the past 6 months. I would have not been happy if that had happened to my Coupe.
