Absolutely Ridiculous: More Window Woes!

My first sign of a problem arrived today when the outside temperature peaked 98+. I usually leave the passenger side cracked about an inch down (my office window is 10 feet from my car, no theft worries here) to dissapate the interior heat. Soooo, now when I button up, the window tops out, then retracts down by 1/3. I can tap it up to full closed and it'll stay up. Now, several posts mentioned the dealer reset? Did anyone see how that was done? I would like to rest myself before driving 80 miles back to the dealer.

Yeah I would agree - where is the reset button? Mine started just doing this and I definitely agree it has something to do with the heat, as it only seems to do it when its very hot outside....but I'd definitely like to correct it...where's the "reset button"? Is it a ECU reset?

I'm taking my '04 coupe into the dealer in a week for this same (1/3 roll down) issue.

Does anyone know a TSB number for this problem?

i think it's the sensor...
i had a problem w/ my other nissan car and they told me it has to do w/ the sensor.
also, it can happen when you slam the door really hard. (not sure on this cuz...i know that none of us would slam it really hard...)
less than 100bucks - fixed.

My dealer is aware of the window problems. They are replacing the motors to a revised one I believe. Check with your dealership and make sure they replace the motors and make sure they push the reset button inside the door.

Won't go down
An old thread, but I thought i'd chime in with my window problem. 2004 6mt, 18k miles. Drivers's window doesn't go down. Could be worse--could be stuck down. To the dealer today.

I had similar issues with my driver side window going half way and then back down, and then both the passenger and sunroof motors went out but they were all covered under my warranty and they even gave me a sedan loaner for the day. No complaints on my end from the service side of it. I figured my issues were because I have an 03' but guess not.

is there no way this problem would be covered after warranty?

Correct, but I am still under warranty, and so should most of you with 04's, 05's and definitely 06's.

Quote: Hey guys,

As you all have probably seen my old post about my driver side window, you know that I was pretty ill and upset about the whole fiasco. So here we are again....this time with my dang passenger door!

Only thing this time is that my window isn't stuck down, it just acts weird with Auto Down and Auto Up. When I hit auto down, it goes down like it is supposed to. However, when I hit Auto Up, it goes up fast and then lowers half-way by itself!!! What the heck is the deal with that?! I am getting tierd of dealing with what should be a "non-issue". I just don't see how a high $$ car has this type of issue? Were Infiniti engineers on drugs when they made these windows? I mean, even my old crappy car's windows never gave an issue.

Any advice would be welcomed. If any of you are dealing with something similar, please complain to Infiniti Consumer Affairs as something needs to be done.

Thanks for listening.
Should have bought a 330ci...MUAHAHAHHA
Let the mud throwing begin
