No I don't have one. I've been debating for about a year now but I think I might do it since they're about $60 or so for a Stillen which is said to be better than the OEM Z-tube. It's one of the basic N/A bolt-ons and is probably the easiest and cheapest as well so why not?

That's what the last 126 pages of this thread are for lol. Basically turbo/sc is the way to go if you're after power since N/A our cars are only capable of so much (which isn't a lot).

I assume it's not illegal to not have rear side markers?

CVC 25100(2) says that you have to have red illuminated rear side-markers at night.

I have been running my JDM tails for about two years now and I have never been pulled over for not having them illuminated while driving at night. I have seen handfuls of stock G's running around with burnt out rear side-markers which they have less to be worried about getting pulled over for unlike people who have their G's modded. I'm sure the cops rather pull me over for something like my aftermarket exhaust instead.

Air intake

One of my factory couplers has ripped and now has a small leak and am not looking at getting a new intake. I was wondering which intake would best suit my needs. I have a 2003 g35 coupe.

Which intake/system should i go? The companies i have looked at are: (all prices from their sites)

Injen
AEM ($356.55)
Stillen Z tube ($248.40)
Takeda ($303.45)
Fujita (~$310.76)

All help is appreciated. Thanks

Dude you can get a Z-tube for WAYY less than that. I'm sure you probably meant the Stillen intake. If not, FYI the Z-tube is like $60 from many sites like Concept Z Performance.

I assume you mean the Stillen Hi-Flow filter. I'm not sure, but that sounds like a good setup. Many people run the Z-tube (or Stillen's cheaper counterpart) with a K&N drop-in filter. I, personally, am running the OEM G tube with an Apex'i filter because I haven't gotten around to purchasing the tube yet due to being a full-time student. But as many people have said, only your butt dyno will notice any "gains" and it's mainly (or entirely) just for sound.

Just hop on Google and type in: "site:g35driver.com ztube" and you'll find out what's most commonly used. It's much more effective than searching on the forums IMO.

I have had test pipes for about a year now (o2 sensors connected, no non-foulers) and had to get a smog in feb. I just threw the cats back on and it passed. You don't need to waste the money on the non-foulers, just clear the cel and u should be fine.
