OFFICIAL "What Mods Should I Buy for my Coupe?" Thread

If you wanted a VLSD you could find the pumpkin for one from a 6MT. If you're looking for an aftermarket LSD you just gotta purchase it and swap it in. My friend has had both a 1.5 way and a Quaife (sp?). I believe one of them locked up too easily but I forget which one. Read the reviews as well as threads on here as I'm sure it's been covered.

Quaife makes an LSD that will fit in your pumpkin. If your referring to just swapping your current diff for an OEM VLSD then 3.5/3.7 are commonly done, depending on what you have right now. Going from a 3.5 to a 3.7 is noticeable but not a huge difference. There are threads on here that go into more detail with the functionality of shorter gears.

What year is your car?

BCs seem to have a good bang for the buck rep on the forum. I personally went with Fortune Auto after reading a review on the Z forum. For $1199 shipped I would definitely recommend them if cost is an issue. They're probably just a few hundred more than that eBay/Amazon stuff but you get what you pay for.

Yeah I got the 500s without the Swift Spring upgrade since I don't think I plan on tracking the car, and if I decide to later I could always just order the Swift springs from Fortune and swap them out. I've only had them installed since the 10th of this month lol so I haven't had them for very long but I think they're great.
They are adjusted by spinning the bottom of the strut so that may be a pain in the *** if you're planning on adjusting it all the time, but even so it's still not THAT difficult to do so, it's just more work than other coilover types.
Also if you want to go low then these are perfect; that was the main reasons why I got them. I can go even lower on mine, and even in the rear. I COULD do the DIY spring mount mod to get my rear lower and even with the rest of the car since Gs seem to have a problem with the fronts always going lower than the rears, however I can also just adjust the spring perch since it can still go A LOT lower but I just didn't want to alter the rebound too much. So to clarify, the rears are all the way lowered as far as adjusting them without losing the "performance" of the rebound, etc. but would be able to go lower if I simply adjusted it by the sprin perch as well.
