New valve covers are closer to $200 each. There's a DIY on replacing just the spark tube gaskets, but that involves cutting into the valve covers. Deff not a novice task.

So with that being said 4-500 for the job really isn't bad at all. I'm sure the dealer must be at about a grand for the whole process.

So I bought a 2004 G35 it has 145k miles on it and I was wondering if I should mod it and what mods to put on it Things I've done to it so far -plasti dip rims -tints -nismo exhaust (bought it like that) - blue skyline lights inside car - blacked out grill - bought black spoiler -tinted headlights taillights I also just ordered blue brake covers and led fog strip lights Also was it wondering if it was a good investment FYI I'm only a 19 year old college student

College student? I'd save your money for maintenance. Check the condition of your drive belts, trans and diff fluids, plugs, and timing chain. Never know if the previous owner kept maint on schedule without paper work. It's better to catch things early then to let them fail

I'd stay away from megan racing(poor quality), no underdrive pulleys(lightweight flywheel has bigger gains and is safer), no cai(z1 ztube and K&N will yield same gains), get a true dual exhaust(won't need a ypipe), motordyne ART pipes, don't get headers unless you do cams too(ppe long tube headers show huge gains with cams), and I believe the cobb AP only works for the 03-04 ecus but I could be wrong. Pretty much everyone here will tell you to go with Uprev for tuning... and sway bars will help a ton more than strut bars for handling. Sways are probably the #1 mod for the price with these cars. It's night and day difference
