Even if it's not better, it was still matched to the hardware/software of the rest of the original equipment. It's not like they had some random cameras hooked up to some random adapters to try and make the most of the shitty screen. That being said, "upgrading" to a G37 system is still a waste of time and money when there are so much better/simpler alternatives for very similar prices.

After I order my new 5/16 MD plenum spacers I'd like to move onto an HFC.

What do you guys recommend? I live in PA, unsure about the smog tests but I'd prefer an HFC which will pass without having to change or swap anything out.

Thanks in advance.

If PA is like MD then they just plug into OBD2 port for emissions tests, as long as there are no codes you pass. I've had AAM HFC for about 85k miles now (4 years) and have had zero problems. They use Vibrant 200 cell cores so flow better than 300 cell cores and don't stink/rasp like a test pipe.

I didn't get any codes until I had my car dyno tuned, then the tuner simply disabled the codes. Passed emissions recently, so no worries there.

How do they sound?

I'll look into those AAM HFC.

Would you say it's worth the money?

These? http://aamcompetition.com/i-4644825-...flow-cats.html
Is $400 + Shipping too much for HFC?

Side question: If I get a lower control arm replaced on one side will I need an alignment afterwards?

I'd say it's worth it. $400 is comparable with most other HFC on the market. That's what I paid for mine, but live close enough to pick up and saved on shipping.

Rule of thumb for alignments: if you replace and/or take apart parts of the suspension, you should get an alignment afterward.

Kicker is always a great cheap sub :-)) even though I'm not running em at the moment, I've always had great luck with em :-).

SONIC ELECTRONIX is a great place to order from! Have spent about $4000 with em, without an issue 👍🏻.. They make vehicle specific boxes for the "g coupe".. I think the fit of the box with two 10"S is a great way to go :-))

Sonic Electronix doesn't sell the boxes though :-(. But good place to get everything else :-))

I think box is about $125( shipped) and the woofers are I think like $115 each( shipped) and an amp should be about $250-$500 depending on what amount of power you want 😊.. Install I'm not 100% sure on. I did a customs in mine, with a false floor, customs box etc.. So it was almost $850.

But normal maybe, $150-$200

Guys, just wondering, is it possible to get 300+whp without forced induction? Has anyone done it before?

Yup. I've seen it on a revup, guy had long-tube headers and an aluminum driveshaft. Basically full bolts-ons and lightweight everything.
