make it faster first. looks is for other people to see when ur driving. the power is what u feel every time u drive it.

ok bknewtype i totally see how timing is an issue for you and maybe its smarter if youre torn between the two to work on cosmetics first but chord42 is so right that you feel the performance whenever you drive i mean for me thats the thrill of owning a car at all. Its a toughie... so heres the question red pill or blue pill lol

but yes, i can make the car faster too. im trying to get an exhaust that retains the stock sound as most as possible because i love the sound, i thoguht about the greddy spe because its only the muffler and not the whole cat so i would think it be mainly for cosmetic for the tips and not much performance. i also heard test pipes and hfc's can make the stock sound louder? im still new to all these mods, i came from the honda world. go figure

interesting, people over at the other forum says its a good way to boost the stock sound. what do you suggest? im not looking for insane gains, this is my daily and i dont need it to be super fast, just something decent, nothing FI.Originally Posted by chord42

u literally CANT make it super fast without going FI, so do all the bolt ons u want without fear of it becoming too fast for a daily. find urself a used catback for exhaust

I have had my G35 since Feb,and now the modding begins...
I want to focus more on performance instead of looks.I already know I am getting a Z-tube/JWT Popcharger combo intake and 1/2" Plenum Spacer. Now I am in a rut and what to know...Should I get some HFC's or a Fast Intentions Exhaust? Please throw some suggestions my way to advance my G!

lol if you are auto and not planning on going FI, just get an exhaust you like and consider yourself done with power upgrades, maybe a tune if you feel like doing that... just do some cosmetics that make your car looks good, dont bother listening to people telling you that your car isnt fast enough. these cars dont respond to mods all too well so just make your car look how you want and enjoyable to you

thanks, that is probably the road im going. my most regret was getting it in auto, so i know i wont do too much performance mods as i cant enjoy it as much as if i had it in manual. body kit comming soon ;oOriginally Posted by Xet

I have the pop charger/z tube, 3/8 spacer, knetix hfc's and stillen catback and it sounds great, not raspy at all, smoooth low pitch at low RPM and when u floor it it has a louder higher pitch growl. its VERY responsive after an osiris tune (gained 16 hp at the wheels from the tune)Originally Posted by KwickG35
