Some people replace the Y-pipes with less restrictive pipes because its a lot cheaper than buying a full cat-back exhaust and it does increase performance a little.
If you don't mind the $ a true-dual exhaust is the way to go tho.

I have no problem helping people out but you have to understand that it gets frustrating to see people ask the same exact questions that have been answered countless times before in this very thread.

As for buying a G, I'd personally stay away from any that had a bunch of go-fast mods; they've often been drove hard Other than that... just make sure you get it inspected.
And do a search on the oil-consumption problem if you are thinking about getting one with the rev-up motor.
Also if you get a 6MT from someone in the city expect to replace the clutch soon...

H Pipe is what is added if you go w/ the Fast Intentions Exhaust.. It actually replaces the stock Y pipe. It also is the reason the exhaust note is changed.. Same thing will happen w/ the True Dual as well. The actual exhaust note will change from the stock sound.

Coils don't necessarily mean your handling will be better, although more/better technology is normally added to coils. The main benefit of coils is an adjustable ride height where springs are a fixed ride height. I think lowering in general will give you a better handle on the car due to the lower center of gravity.

You should get every mod you wanna get first and THEN tune it to get the most out of it. To simply by a ztube n popcharger n then tune would be wasting money, unless thats the only mod you're going to install.

Hey guys I have a Grey 2005 G35 Coupe AT, and I've been trying to figure out what to do to it to make it faster. I don't have a ridiculous amount of money to spend as of now, but could someone give me an idea of what to work toward buying/installing to make it faster.
Thanks
-Z

turbo.. Starts at like 4k. You'll be like this guy ->
Or go wit basic stuff, intake spacer hfc or test pipes n exhaust. Since ur automatic get a what i think is called grounding wire kit, will kill the lag with the automatic mode. thas bout it.

Those are cheapest mods i can think of
starts getting expensive if you wanna play with the exhaust
And going FI is the only real way to go fast

If you're asking those questions you should definitely NOT boost your car. Go read the forced induction forum on my350z.com; lots of good info there
