First post on this forum

I've been looking into get a Gcoupe because I think they are beautiful cars with enough hp and is RWD. After lurking on the forum for about a week I read problems with the G such as window motors going out, oil consumption, problems filling the gas tank full, rattles etc.

Seems like quite a few problems for being a "luxury" coupe. I'm also looking at the new RWD Genesis coupe. Of course the interior isn't as nice, but some of the gauges in the G look a little plain to me also, not to mention the Genesis v6 has more HP and responds better to mods. I'd feel better in an Infinity then a Hyundai, but I'm wondering if it is worth it considering some of the problems you guys are having

I'd probably just have a powertrain warranty on the G as opposed to a full longer warranty on the Genesis.

Every car has it's problems. Any forum you go to, you'll see.

When people have problems, they post. When everything is fine, they don't.
It's like product reviews. When people like it, that's the end of it. When they don't, they take the extra effort to go back online and complain about it. As a result, all the reviews are usually negative.

In reality, this is a very strong car and has great reliability.

Personally I'd be a little leery of a first year, brand new model (though I have one, LOL).

I wouldn't buy another G35, though. G37XS sedan, yes!

I'd buy mine again in a heartbeat. Has been my favorite car so far. I'll be holding on to it for a long time to come.

If I had to go back I'd consider a WRX, A4, maybe some muscle and get a cheap C5 or something.

I just bought mine. I got a deal that I couldn't pass up.

I would love to buy a new G37, etc. Would love to see a G37 with the 370Z Nismo 350hp upgrade.

I love my G, but I wouldn't buy another one. It's been a lot of fun, and performs great, but now i'm looking forward to a GTR or 997 next.

I wouldn't let go of the one I have....!
I love my G and I wouldn't change a thing. Never have liked the G37 the extra HP was eaten up buy it's excess weight plus they should have gone with the pre-production drawings. (concept drawings) 370Z interests me but I'd have to spend an extra $15K to make it my own and I still wouldn't have a back seat for the boys. You'll never see me buy Korean, to many bad memories of the junk they used to sell us....or try! New Camero, it will be 3 years before they get the bugs out of this ride and that's only if GM survives.... Naa, I'll keep my beautiful Twilight Blue coupe since I only have 24K miles on the clock....and zero issues!
