Okay Im done, heres what happened. I was inside subway eating lunch and when I walked outside someone ran up and told me that someone just backed into my parked car and just took off. I then proceeded to defacate in my pants. After I cleaned up, I noticed that my right rear fender was dented and had a long red paint scratch on it. THANK GOD for the guy who saw it because I probably wouldnt have noticed until later in the day. So luckily now I have a witness who got the guys license plate and a description of what he looks like. When the cops got there to fill out a police report, he said that they are going to treat it just like a hit and run. So basically this guy is monumentally ****ked!! On top of that, I know a body guy who paints cars for the concours d'elegance (probably spelled wrong) who said that he would fix it for me, and if they catch the guy and his insurance company pays for it, he will charge a nice hefty price just to give the guy a kick in the ***.

So for a pretty shitty day, I have a feeling that in the end justice will be done and another A-hole will be off the road.

Everyone be sure to put 50 Jihad's on this guy and hope he gets run over by a truck.

at least you have a witness and police report and it's just the bumper right? easy fix...

 

Sorry to hear about the damage to your G. The guy or gal who saw the incident, got the plate number and tipped you off deserves a nice bottle of wine at least. I hope the dirtbag who banged it and bailed gets all he deserves, like criminal charges for example.

Wow that made my day to spell that right. And the damage is on the right rear fender at the centerline of the wheel. Luckily it is dented above the crease in the fender so it didn't really mess with the curvature of it. I wonder if I could figure out where that guy lives to send him a bottle of wine or something.

I'd find out where the guy who hit your car lives, send him a bottle of wine, and put a note with it that says "Thanks for hitting my car and running away. See you in court. Don't worry- I'll recoup the cost of the wine."

im jealous man.. you really should thank that guy who got the plate number.. when some A-HO hit my car and ran a few months ago there were no witnesses.. i was soo pissed.. good luck with everything..

 

probably wont go anywhere in court unless the witness can positively ID the guy....otherwise your S.O.L.....

I know when we have hit and runs, its only a criminal ticket, 2nd degree misdemeanor, usually a nice fine and some community service or something, not like he's goin to the state penitentary for it...lol

 

i think as long as the witness can identify the car and the plate number, it shud be kool. no need to ID the person inside the car.

 

He may of run because he had no insurance. If so, you might not get any money. Plus the guy may say he didn't know he hit anything. Good luck, I hope you get adequate compensation, but my experience with things like this isn't good.
