loud clicking sound from passenger window!
#16
I pulled the door panel off and all the window bolts were tight. I gave each one of them a little extra tighten but was afraid to over torque. I found four of them. Two up top and two at the bottom (you roll the window down to get to them.) I did not see any stickers over the wholes. There were lots of little vinyl stickers over other little holes though.
Anyway, I'll have to wait and see if the click is gone. May take a while since it only did it on occasion.
Removing the door panel is not technically difficult, but with only one set of hands it is a real juggling act. (I also have no garage so I was in the driveway). A couple of things that might help someone doing this alone. Put a towel or mat down on the ground below the door. While you are unplugging the step light, window controls and latch cords the bottom of the door panel can get scuffed up on the ground. Also, I could get the door handle cable loose but not the door lock one, so I just unscrewed the whole assembly. Just three philips screws. Also, I couldn't get the window control cable unplugged either, not with one hand anyway, so I just popped it out. Also very easy.
I did not know which bolts held the regulator in place but I snugged all the bolts on the exterior of the black metal door panel. They were all pretty tight.
Anyway, not sure about the limit reset. I better do a search on that. Here it is:

Edit: Doesn't sound like I need to do the reset since I did not mess with motor or regulator.

I kind of wish I'd never pulled that door panel off. The interiors of these cars is sooo cheap and you could see it in there. I repaired the power window cables on my 1990 Pathfinder and the internals of the door and door panel materials were far superior to what's in this 'luxury' car that is 16 years newer. Really unbelievable.
Let's just pretend the interior of these cars is like that to make the car light and perform better. It will make me feel better anyway.
