Hey All..

My 04 coupe was recently hit while parked by a boat on a trialer - yes the outboard props cut my rear bumper. Unbelievable!!!

Anyway, is the local dealer the way to go for body work? Or should I seek help elsewere? If anyone can recommend a place in south Charlotte NC I would appreciate it. Thanks and all be well. Rick

That is probably the most random post ive read on here, that is unbelievably bad luck coupled with an incredibly retarded driver (the driver of the truck that was towing the boat).

 

i dont think its random, sh*t happens, weird sh*t. but dealerships do body work , now thats random to me :P but go to a local bod shop

 

find yourself a local body shop ..

and get a few price quotes from various shops ..

and look at their work .. to see if youd be happy with their quality ..

 

Most dealerships just outsource the work to a local body shop and skim some cash off the top in the exchange. Just go to a local reputable body shop and have the work done with them directly.

 

I own a boat but I've never hit anyone before but almost have hit me before. There are people who should trailer and I have seen a lot of them attempting to back their boats down a launch. They should cut the trailer tongues down such that those dumb enough who jack knife their trailers on a frequent basis would have the tell tale signs of dented boxes/tailgates so you know who not to park near.
