Here to defend the JDM badging being called rice

I really don't see why people have such a big beef with this. The ONLY difference is LHD and RHD. The cars have the same platform, same engine, same COMPANY, same aftermarket, and the JDM parts are even interchangeable (Door sills, clock, steering wheel, etc.) Same FM platform, even...

So what's the problem? I just want to understand, thanks.

my only problem is when people think they have the US equivalent of the GT-R. skyline, yes. GT-R, no. and any badging elluding to that is lame.

I mean of course, I agree with the whole GT-R badging being stupid. But I mean, just regular Skyline 350GT badges.

People have different taste and preference so not everyone will agree on it. The end of the day who cares it's your car, if you like it just do it.

Who cares! You like them put them on, you don't then don't. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions. In the end it's your car.

I don't have a problem with it if its done right... but you get some retards that think its cool if they slap a skyline on the back and just leave everything else infiniti... Thats just lame IMO

I agree. Its just a badge. Some people like it, some dont. Personally I am fully debadged. I like people not knowing what kind of car I have. Thats just me. If you like the 350GT badge and it makes you happy more power to you.

some things are just too expensive/a pain to change out just for the different badge(ie. the seats and the clock). everyone has their own tastes. me for instance. i would rather not put the Nissan burger on my car so i got the Ionic grill and threw a 350GT badge on the grill and did the SKYLINE and 350GT badging on the trunk(leaving the burger off there too). I also got the Skyline door sills. i like it and i think it looks really slick, but im probably not going to spend the money to replace the seats unless i have a couple thousand spare dollars laying around someday, and im not going to take the painstaking time just to replace the clock because i dont think its worth it. sure when someone lifts my hood or gets in my car theyll see the Infiniti badges, but i dont care about that and they shouldnt either because its not their car.

and to the people who get on those of us who put Skyline and 350GT on our cars because you claim its not the "real thing" since it was made an Infiniti and its LHD and all that other stuff....take a look at some of the parts on your car one day. the grill for instance. take it off and look on the back side of it....a Nissan stamp....but OMG its an Infiniti!?!?!? if both the G35 and 350GT can interchange ANY part(i dunno about the LHD vs. RHD stuff, but every other part for that matter) on the car, then i would say theyre the same car and we're allowed to re-badge. you dont seem to have a problem with the people in Japan re-badging their cars as Infiniti G35's....same difference.

When I bought my car, the previous owner had done full exterior badge swap. I must say I liked how it looked and it representing that its just a basic nissan but I removed all of them and swapped the infiniti emblem back into the grille because I was sick of every wannabe car guy saying, "Thats not really a skyline, skylines are turbocharged and awd!" I just hate explaining to retards that they were wrong and attempting to educate them.
