Final word on Rotors requested
Final word on Rotors requested
I posted a few days ago that I was having vibrations when braking at highspeeds (https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...n-braking.html). As a test, I went and got my old rotors resurfaced on the front just to see if I could isolate which end of the car was causing the vibrations. After having the front ones resurfaced, The problem was fixed so right away I went online and ordered Hawk Pads and EBC rotors.
The problem is I'm getting conflicting information on what size rotors I'm supposed to have. Infinitipartsusa.com has this to say:
""""Infiniti recommends that you replace your front brake rotors for your 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe when the brake rotors are less than 26mm thick. """""
26mm thick...well my new EBC's just showed up and they are a whopping 15mm thick and they claim they are for my model infiniti. What's the deal? Can someone tell me who is right? or does it matter? I'm not doing anything until I get some solid info.

I find this all to be quite ridiculous and doesn't make owning the car very enjoyable. get the rotors resurfaced, they don't work. get them resurfaced again, they're too thin. Order $300 rotors and they're not right the right size despite the website (and box) saying their front rotors for a g35. so far this car is a big pain in the a$$. </rant>
