Alright heres the story,

As some of you may know i recently just purchased/installed my Agency Power Ti Single Exit exhaust like a week ago. So you know how it looks odd with the right exhaust outlet just empty. So I talked with PPGFREAK(COREY) and asked him if i purchased a rear diffuser if he can fill in the right hole so it would look cleaner with my single exit exhaust. He said yea sure. So i purchased my rear diffuser from B2autodesigns on 7/21/09 then had B2autodesigns ship it to PPGFREAK(Corey) which was Delivered to him on 7/23/09. So we keep in touch by txting i txted him to see if he got my rear diffuser and he saids yes . Okie a couple days pass by i txt him again to see if the progress of my rear diffuser and then Corey saids he has been at a wedding on the weekend so he hasnt started working on my diffuser yet but will work on it asap. So I go thats fine. So then Beebo gave me a great idea to get my diffuser wrapped in CF, i said Great idea so i told Corey if he could wrap my diffuser in cf , he said yea he can. A week passes by which is now 8/3/09 and Corey text messages me pictures of his car bc someone hit his rear bumper. So i go damn that sucks and we talked about it on the phone for a few minutes. (He then saids since hes taking so long to do the work on my rear diffuser that he wouldnt charge me anything for filling in the right hole and painted it black)(I also told Corey not to worry about wrapping my diffuser in CF ,that i would be cool with it painted glossblack) Then i ask him if my diffuser will be ready b4 8/9/09 b/c ill be going to Ohio to a little mini/install meet that sunday. Corey said he'll have it done b4 this sunday and will overnight ship it to me if he has to. I say Ok thx. It is now 8/8/09 and i still have no diffuser, i called Corey today about 4-6 times but his phone is all the sudden "OFF" and goes straight to his voicemail which leads me to think hes ignoring me or i GOT-GOT

Ok so my Rear Diffuser was in Coreys hands on 7/23/09 and it is now 8/8/09..
am i Overreacting?

i dont think i am, he sent me a txt message yesterday 8/7/09 4:59pm. this is what Corey txted me, relax man lol. its on its way. im just working to make up for time.


what are you guys thoughts?
how will i get my $$$ for my rear diffuser back?
in my opinion i dont think Corey even started to work
on my rear diffuser. So Corey if you read this
please let me know something, i really hate to think your playing
me since you have good feedback and have been on this
forum for awhile.

if not give me back my diffuser asap

i really didnt want to make a thread on my situation

Interesting, I can understand how you can be a bit anxious. Waiting for an item always sucks specially if you already paid for it. You have to remember though, the work on your diffuser is probably a side job for PPGFREAK and other issues can come up to delay the completion of the work such as the wedding and the damage to his car. I think the work you requested will be completed but it just depends on when. Unfortunately, this is a risk you run when you don't deal with a shop that you can physically go to and check on the progress. I believe he has done work for other members without issues. I would give him a little more time but I am a pretty patient person though.

 

I'm seeing a lot of this lately between members calling out other members/vendors on things like this.

I don't doubt the work of the mentioned members, but may I suggest the people like PPGFREAK and Iron_Mike continuously update their customers on the progress of certain projects.

I find that the reason people start these threads is because they "don't know" what is going on behind the scenes. I did the same to my supplier when I ordered my exhaust. It took way too long to get to me, but he kept me updated every step of the way. Through that I found out that the shipping company was at fault b/c of their drivers.


Needless to say, my two cents just suggests that vendors and what not have a constant stream of communication with their customers. That way anxious customers like O_Hella_OEM can keep these threads holstered a bit longer, thus filtering the good vendors from the ones we should actually be worried about...

it's only been 2 weeks. You need to cut a little more slack than that.

 

yea i kno its only been 2 weeks but
why promise me that my diffuser will be done and shipped to me
by today? and all the sudden he turns off his phone today
when im suppose to get my diffuser?

he told me in the beginning that it will take no longer then a few days
to finish my diffuser

 

You might possibly maybe perhaps be jumping the gun since the time frame isn't too significant, HOWEVER.... since he is butt-buddies with iron-mike it's hard not to asume the worst.

P.s. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL (not to your situation OP.... just cus I know these guys. Haha.)

 

he specifically told me a few days ago not to worry and that he would ship it to me overnight(he told me this yesterday friday 8/7/09) that it will be at my store today saturday 8/8/09...

i already gave him more then enough time
and was cool about it when he went to a wedding and didnt work on my diffuser,
and someone rear ends his G,i kno its not his fault or mine, but i asked him
will you finish up my diffuser b4 this sunday he said yes!

why turn off his cell phone?

 

Life happens bro. Im sure we've all had instances where we have to delay certain things due to circumstances. I don't think the thread was necessary. A simple stern PM might have done it. That exhaust you have is teh ****!

His is the risk u run when dealing with people who are not vendors or supports of the site. The have a lot less to lose than paying sponsors of the site. I am not saying that this guy scammed you, but you will have little recorse if he did.

I think your over reacting man, it takes time do custom work like that especially since it's on the side.

I wouldn't take it to a different shop, corey is probably the best for this kind of work.

It's been less than 3 weeks I would expect at least 4-6 weeks.
