Best year G35 coupe to buy?

Which year is the best to buy? I've heard mixed reviews, and I understand it matters how the previous owner took care of it and such. But I am looking to buy a used G, and have narrowed it down to cars all owned by adults and all maintenance records on hand. Those include 03's with 80k miles (manual and auto), 05's with 90-95k miles (auto), 04's with 60-80k miles (auto and manual), and an 06 with 96k miles (auto). I've narrowed it down to those based on my budget.

I would really appreciate some help in picking the best year with best transmission, with what will be my best bet to have the least problems (I've heard of tire feathering, crazy oil consumption, trans replacement, etc), since the car I will get won't be under warranty.

Thank you for all your help in advance, sorry if I worded my question badly

Thank you. Any opinion of which is the best transmission? I've heard very different things from both sides

I recommend 05+ also. 05+ auto transmission has rev-match system.

Yes they do. I would get the one with the least amount of miles. So if you find one with under 70k than the motor and the tranny should still be under warranty. Good Luck.

I'm looking at an 06' right now, automatic, $23k for 19800-something miles. No rear spoiler is kinda tripping me out but I think it's still fresh without.

How hard is it to find a reliable place that sells the spoiler (OEM, correct me if I'm wrong) and install it?

You can open your own thread and ask that if you'd like, since my thread's question is pretty off from yours

you buy it from the dealer and you order it pre-painted to match.. If you can use a drill you can install it yourself in under an hour. Good instructions come with it along with an idiot proof drill pattern you tape on the trunk

05 hands down, best bang for your buck. Unless you want brembos(03-04) or Bluetooth and memory seats(06+)

Really? You guys all think the 05 with 90k+ miles is a good deal for the same price as the older years with less? I'll listen to that then..

I drove the 06 6mt w/ sports package at a dealer with 45k miles to get a feel for the manual.......I kept having withdrawls after. For all you out there that chose the 6mt....great choice.

Another few questions: What's the difference between the rev-up on the 05+ models and the older "non-rev" models? How does it feel different driving it? Do the 6mt 03-04's feel much different than the 05-06 6mt? And brembo's, what difference do you feel? Is it a big deal or not really
