Cleaning the Pop Charger DIY anybody??

I figured with as many people who've purchased pop chargers, that there would be a how to clean DIY somewhere in the forum, but I've had no luck finding. When I got it, it didnt come with instructions on when or how to clean..

Does anyone have any pointers/how to's to follow? (i.e. what kind of oil to use, where to get it, how much to put on, how to even put it on, etc...) I've put about 5000 miles into so far...

Excuse the ignorance...Thanks.

I have a K&N Typhoon Intake which has a K&N cone filter. For mine a bought K&N Filter Recharger Filter Care Service Kit. p/n - 99-5000. (about $15. CDN)
See first pic of kit box front, and second pic of instructions on rear.
Very easy and self explanatory.

Get the K&N stuff 'cause it's available locally. Just undo the screw in the pic and the filter pops right off. You don't need to take off the whole end assembly. Mine is mostly red now with a few purple splotches. Real easy. Just don't over oil.

Is there any stuff i could use that will keep the filter blue, like it is now? I'm kinda partial to the way it looks now.

Does the K&N recharge kit turn it RED???

Yes. If you go to the performance nissan parts website, you can find the JWT blue oil for the popcharger.

What mamboking said (also available at JWT's site). I only used the K&N 'cause I had some leftover. Real easy.
