yes the tank never shows full and yes you pretty much do have that much fuel in there when it shows empty. i can usually go an extra 100 miles after the low fuel light turns on if i need to. its a 20 gallon tank!

I've got an 04 6mt coupe. The gauge has NEVER read more then like 7/8 full. After fueling it shows about 3/4 and the will slower creep up to 7/8 given time. I just got used to it as I know I'm actually filling the tank.

Mine's now starting to flake out on the low end and I'm refueling via the odometer.

 

any body fixed there problem with the gauge? how much?
