When I did my G, it smoked a lot. Then I used 2 bottles on my other car, a 1999 pontiac grand am, with 189K miles and it didn't smoke at all.

i'm seeing about 2 mpg after doing a BG fuel injector cleaner, haven't quite finished the whole process, first is throttle body cleaner and whatever else they do at the dealer, that helped a little, then i dumped a bottle of fuel system dryer in the gas tank, going to drive it until gas lite comes on then atleast another 20 miles. then i have to put the octane booster and fuel injector cleaner bottle in, hopefully by then i will be back up to 20 mpg, before doing this i was at 16 mpg.
I also replaced the air filter which was filthy, but all this just goes to show you that keeping up with maintenance pays off (in gas...still paying over $4.00 a gallon) i don't know how much the air filter did, but i'm sure the fuel injector cleaner is working as well. I will definetly be doing this on other vehicles.

All you'll see is white smoke coming out of the exhaust. That white smoke will come out either way, regardless of whether the motor was dirty or not prior to your Seafoam treatment... because it's the Seafoam being burned up that is the source of the white smoke.

I can't see why you'd put it into the oil since the oil isn't (hopefully) in the combustion chamber and intake, and the gas tank would dilute the effect and guessing unless very empty you would get less of the effect and more smoke over time instead of one time, one day.
Edit - for TB I used CRC TB cleaner, it worked well.
