Re: New Pics - Painted Calipers + other mods
for paint i just got an $8 can of Plasti-kote caliper paint from Pepboys. i have a few friends who have tried both the expensive kits and cheap spray cans but say they have the same results. I raised my car with the jack to take the entire wheel off, then masked off most of the sections i didnt want painted and hand brushed the caliper (by either spraying into a pan and dipping brush or spraying directly onto the brush). i put a nice heavy layer on each, at least until i couldnt see any more dark, black residue from the original caliper (maybe up to 5 layers). then gave about an hour to dry and put the wheel back on.
JspecG35: do you mean a problem with the law or with installing them?
law: not yet =P, i have my back license plate lights the same color also, usually the headlight drowns out the blue effect and makes it seem a dull whiteish purple. however, when the headlights are off they are fully visible
install: yes, lost a bulb in the clearance strip while trying to lock it in, hasnt been found since. stuck somewhere in the headlight housing =\

Re: New Pics - Painted Calipers + other mods
there should be a guide in the DIY section but:
turn your wheel so you have more room to work with, pop out the 3 cap screws and undo a screw near the top of your fender lining. pull the fender lining back and reach inside and feel around for a tab and twist it to unlock and pull it out. switch the bulbs and lock it back. it could get frustrating locating the bulb and definitely messy
the bulbs are wedge types, 194's.
