If no CEL is currently on, I would think your AF sensors are ok. Faulty sensors almost always trigger the CEL, and even after you reset, the CEL will come back on in a matter of minutes.

I figured when they told me both sensors needed to be replaced with no CEL on, there had to be something up.

Let me reiterate the fact that they told me I needed to have the air / fuel sensors replaced simply because they THREW A CODE IN THE PAST. This was stored in the ECU, and wasn't even a current code. Meaning they were operating 100% as they were supposed to, yet they told me they needed to replace them.

UPDATE:

After the ECU reset, the car drives flawlessly. I tried to replicate the problem hundreds of times and could not get even a hint of it. As far as I can tell, my car is working properly. No CEL, no warning lights (these never came on through the whole process anyway), and the car drives as it's supposed to again. And I didn't have to spend $1000 dollars to do so! I just had to reset my ECU!
