a/c turned on full blast w/o even touching it

I was driving around doing my business and i honked at the car next to me. All of a sudden the a/c is on full blast and the radio/ac lights are all off. The air bad light on the dash came on too. I couldnt turn it off or control anything on the radio excpet if i used the volume control on the steering wheel. WTF. I tried to resest the ecu with the key method used to reset the airbag but that didnt work. So i drop it off at the tire shop to get a leak fixed and when i get the car back its fine. Then again on the way home i hit a bump and it happens again. After a min or two of driving the ac and radio lights turn back on and is funtioning again. WTF is up with that???

Is your stock CD changer jammed?

Your AC/Controller / Radio finisher made by Clarion is beginning to fail and short out. It's a very common problem. Widely covered on this forum. A new finisher may cost as much as 1200 dollars new at the dealership. People sell thiers on here after doing a stereo upgrade since they no longer need it. Sometimes they upgrade the stereo and buy a JDM Dash kit and AC/Controller because thier finisher is fried. You are in trouble my friend and there's nothing you can do but hope it stops and it probably won't until it's fried. Oh, by the way, if you're still under warranty, go right now, immediately and tell them you need a new finisher circuit board.

either have your radio fixed or go dd.. i had my radio fixed 2 years ago, plugged in an ipod adapter (usa spec) and has never had a problem since... the less you use the cd player, the less chances the radio and cd will "f" up the a/c... who uses cd's nowadays anyway?..

Yep, a jammed CD changer causes the climate/radio finisher to fry and act like it has its own mind. You're better off with a DD.

I have the exact problem. If i'm going w/ the DD, what else do i need to buy for a place like best buy to install? By replacing it w/ DD, it would fix the a/c problem? thanks for all the help
