tires

do you all think 235/40/18 would fit all around instead of staggered 245. I know the front rims are 18x8 and the back rims are 18x8.5 would this cause problems with fitting 235's all around let me know. thanks

Re: tires

I don't fitment would be a problem, the diameter might be however. Overtime your odometer will read incorrectly.

Re: tires

According to everything I've read(Brochure, manual, magazines), the wheels are the same size. I've heard the offsets may be different but I haven't seen any written documentation of that.

Re: tires

I think your VDC would get screwed up without the stagger. You might want to investigate that first. There have been server posts about the problem in the past.

Re: tires

The main issue is the overall rolling diameter of the wheel/tire.
The VDC, ABS, and other electronics monitor the rotation rate. At a given speed, the smaller fronts are rotating faster than the bigger rear tires. If you put on bigger ones, it may screw these systems up.

You could possibly go w/ a 245/40-18 (vs. stock 45-series tire) to decrease the diameter.

Re: tires

Just wanted to throw in with the others who have noted this already. The stock 18's are all the same size. I posted this info a month or so ago (a clip from one of the technical manual page). If you need it check my old posts.
