Well guys, this is it. Four months ago I bought 2004 G35 with 225/40 R18 winter tires on it, both on the front and the rear. I tested it and my 0-60 time was around 6.2 – 6.8. Today I change the rear tires to 245/45 R18 and tested the car then I was shocked – it was damn slow – around 7.5!!! Please, tell me what is actual acceleration time? Know that my question is about tires diameter also, but… actually I have NO idea what is my G’s 0 – 60 time(((

idk what the actual is but i know that they definately didnt engineer it well for 0-60.. most cars will kill 60 in 2nd gear but mine i have to shift 3rd.. idk what the actual is though so id like to know as well

7.5 is awfully slow, i thought it was something around 5.8-6.3 depending on the conditions

0-60 in 5.83
Keep in mind with a MT those numbers are from professional drivers.

well, my G is 5AT. It doesnt seemed to me that the car is broken or something... It was just SLOW))) Are those numbers (0-60 in 5.83) for 6MT G's only? I guess its true but I cant understang why is there lack of power on 5AT
"grounding wire kits" I have no idea what it is... (( I know that the car is just stock

0-60 doesnt really matter. What matter's more is your quarter mile time.

Yeah how often are you actually going to use the 0-60??? Getting on the highway is about it.
haha thats the question of how cool your car is) I love my G very much, but I've never expected its slow like poor Celica))))))

yes thats a 6mt. The ATs are a few tenths slower. ATs have lower WHP cause there is a greater loss in the drivetrain, also the 5AT isn't exactly the quickest shifting transmission out there. If you get a quality grounding kit the lag between gears will be reduced greatly.Originally Posted by Jay Blade

"Did you power launch it?" - do you mean holding the brakes while pushing the gass then release the brakes? I did it a little

G35s are just slow. I have accepted it. Unless you want to spend a ton of money on FI..... Then might as well just buy a faster car to begin with.
