as for the original post... Its good that you are making your own intake i give you props because not even i would do it i would just buy something.. i hope you get HP gains off it and you like it in the end..

and as it was mentioned earlier.. make it a boxed intake system.. it will keep temps down and avoid getting some heat soak

also you can make it a big **** velocity stack inside the box with a short yet wide filter and that will also help airflow ... just my $.02

my boy just pulled his 03 cobra out the shop today finally done a little over 1000whp. and its a daily driver.
I think cobras are cool lol =X u can roll with any exotic car u see on the road and laugh in their face when they wanna do their little gear pull and make some noise under bridges or tunnels.
