lulz!![Icon17](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/icon17.gif)
those "catch cans", to my knowledge are there to serve as "mufflers" and keep noise down.

another guy comming on and bashing stretched tires and ASSUMING they are unsafe.
my thoughts exactly.

Explain how this looks "tacky"? and please consider how "tacky" the factory one looks. Also its made of the same material that my b/f used to make his cold air intake for his cobra, and he saw pretty good gains and response from reducing the restriciton of the air flow to the throttle body inlet and has had no issues of deforming from heat and he has had his on for over 2 years. The factory setup is restrictive and messy. Also the factory tube has multiple "catch" cans on it for what reason i dont know, but they allow air to flow other places besides directly to the throtle body and these other components create turbulance which is not what you want, you want straight smooth flowing volumes of air. We will make this available to anyone interested, if you are not interested, then please feel free to keep spending large sums of cash on over priced "name brands". BTW my b/f is a mechanical engineer, so im pretty sure he knows a little something about building things like this. Thanks again for any and all input.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people think stretching tires to fit rims that are to wide for the tires looks good, when in reality it looks "tacky" and is ridiculusly unsafe. Some people think lambo doors are cool, again total waste of money. So to each his own. I'd rather build a car that can do both and when you are trying to squeeze as much as possible out of an engine, yeah every hp/tq you gain counts.

^ I'll take 6, but I want me and gsedan to be the only ones to have them, because if more than 10 are made they're gay.
One more thing to tell your boyfriend.
I am SO glad my car was made on a line in Japan instead of here in American by American auto workers.
PM me your address so I can mail you a sticker.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
All right boys and girl, I have stayed out of this thread long enough so here's my .02. As you all know I'm usually one of the first to flame stupid comments and posts, hell I even got banned for the whole douchecanoe thing. But I have to say here that the OP has some ***** (figuratively of course
) to even look at creating something new for the G, much less posting it up for ridicule. She's taken most of the ribbing in stride and has been a pretty good sport about it. We just get too stuck sometimes on the idea that the options out there right now for our cars is the end-all be-all and new ideas suck. That is true a lot of the times but I give the OP props for thinking outside the box in coming up with something new.
I would have liked to see this posted when she and the BF create the actual intake, not just the tube because who knows. It might be the new "next thing" we are all looking for. Yeah the BF came across a little abrasively, but he was defending his idea and his girl. A lot of you would have reacted the same way if you were in his position. And for those of you that hated on the Cobra grow up. It's a phenomenal car for what it is and one of the best bang for the buck beasts out there. Granted it's not as graceful and refined as the G, but that's not why it was made. It was made to haul azz and burn rubber and for less than $20,000 you can get a mildly modified Cobra that will run 0-60 in under 4 seconds and get you back and forth to work very reliably for a long time. And I bet the peeps that ragged on the Mystichrome paint have never seen it in person. It's amazing up close and personal.![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
