G35 vs Subaru WRX STi weight

i am tired of people saying the wrx is sooooooooooo light and g35 are heavy as ****, people wrx are 3300 pounds the g35 is 3450. so i would trade in that 150 punds for a better looking, more sexy rwd and full engine car with no turbo/supercharger BS on the stock motor like those 4-bangers. just a thread to see how you feel about it, i mean damn i raced a brand new wrx(faster then the sti in 1/4 mile) and i kept up with him and mine was slighty modded and his wrx has full exhaust, cai, tune, and he could shift like crazy. so yes i have respect for ALL JDM but cmon there really not that much better if not at all better. awd booooo my friends audi tt(awd) got spanked off the line against a saturn ion(older one)

Lemme say this is my first post and caught my attention. I actually just traded in my 04 STi for my 06 G35. The STi was faster and could handle better then the G but thats not the reason I bought it. The 04 STi (first year they came stateside) weighed 3,263 lbs. Congrats on the WRX kill btw, i havent rode in one but did see the spec sheet.

----sorry buddy but your friend cannot drive. There is no faster way off the line then awd with a proper driver

yea i just hate when they say G35 are heavy when they dont even drive one, and that wrx is SOOOOOO light, if you want a light car go buy a 96 honda hatchback throw a integra swap and turbo it, thats a light fast car but then again you have one problem still.......you still drive a HONDA.

Also my friend can drive and shift VERY well, but not really good on launches but when he raced the saturn i was in the car and raced him 4 times and on one of those times he had just about a perfect launch, and the saturn still got him. so i made me wonder is this some dumb noob in a saturn with some silent turbo or something. so i looked under his hood....but there was nothing modded and has the same stock everything. i dont know but thats one pretty slow sick saturn cause my friend losed in his tt but i KILL him in my G that he wont race me anymore for money.

Ill agree with your first part about people saying the G's are heavy, some people just dont understand weight and power for that matter.

A turbo is not going to help you launch any better, its all about traction (which awd has massive amounts of). There is something that's not matching up in your story of the Audi vs Saturn. But o well doesnt really matter

I had a WRX (built the hell out of the engine) before my G35. While I liked the power of my WRX, the G35 is a much better car both interior and exterior in my opinion.

yes sir, i honestly got tired of shifting in traffic since 75% of my driving is in stop and go. The leather, sunroof, auto up windows, the list goes on and on. great car imo

I do miss all the work I put into my WRX though. It was a sad day when I had to sell her. It was a manual also, and I now have an auto. I drive too much in stop/go to have a manual transmission.

Sweet. $230 isn't too bad. It isn't a priority by any means since I don't use the triptonic too terribly much. Thanks!

look into the Transgo sift kit or member SxExCx's custom grounding kits. search the marketplace
