"Skyline"?

Hi im a new member here and i'm currently shopping for a G35 of my own (Hope to be getting one VERY soon, cant wait). But im wondering, is it considered "ricey" to have nissan/ skyline/ 350GT badges on a usdm g35? im new to the nissan scene.

Some will say that it is rice, because your car will never truly be a Skyline 350GT since its not RHD. IMO as long as you don't mix badges it can work. If I were to do it I would also look into changing out parts of my interior as well: Nissan air bag cover, remove Infiniti stitching from seats, JDM visors, JDM clock, Nismo floor mats, etc.

my previous car was a JDM front integra and i had everything switched to honda/ type r parts even though the original chasis was a gs-r. Kinda the same principle i guess.

It's your car do as you wish.

But, I will tell you that whenever my friends and I are crusing, and they see a G35 the skyline badge, they start to point and laugh and say "fake skyline". The driver of the skyine then thinks he's cool because they staring at him.

Even though I remind them all the time that its a Skyline 350gt over in Japan. But they don't care. When they see Skyline, they think of the old r32, r33 or r34. And thinks that people with the skyline badge just want to be cool or some shlt.

yeah but in japan infiniti doesnt exist and its kinda a theme thing
some people maybe dont get it x_x
and i mean of course all badges/ parts should be matched to japan spec 350 gt
i think then it would be ok? if its an obvious theme im going for

I don't think it's "ricey" what you want to do with it, its your car. But I just want to respond to your comment where you said Infiniti doesn't exist in Japan. You're right about that, only thing about that is we're not in Japan. If you want to suit your car to fit your taste, there's no problem with that bro, go for it.

i dont see anything wrong with it. but in the end it's up to you. the only thing you'll have to deal with is people either thinking it's rice or wondering why you did that. i'd say majority of people don't know that it's a skyline in japan..

I completely agree with Marcus on this one. If you wanna do it, then do it right. Even though it seems a bit much to do just to rock some Nissan badges, but its either all or nothing.

It would just seem like it is half a$$ed if you only switch some badges and not the whole thing.
