Crazy EXPENSIVE exhaust.. Insurance claim help!

I'm currently negotiating with an insurance adjuster regarding damage to my aftermarket exhaust. I purchased the vehicle pre-owned with the exhaust already installed, however I don't have any receipts for the exhaust itself.
The adjuster concedes that it is what I claim it to be: Amuse Titan R1... but is unsure if it is the "Extra" version that is on the car.
What I'm trying to find out: How do I know what type I actually have?? Maybe link to a site that I can give to my insurance adjuster?

they have to fix the car to the condition that the car was in before the damage. Tell him you want the same exhaust, he can find the best price he can get for it. You can also get a pay out for the customer property damage. I had my carbon fiber TS hood damaged, and geico gave me $986 for it even thought I didnt have a receipt. I just had them find the best price they could for it online, plus paint and install.

Have them find their own best price, plus shipping and install and have them cut you a check for it. Then buy an HKS or something you want after that if you cant have it repaired.

If you play your cards right, know what your entitled to, and act smart you come out on top with insurance.

The above link is what I submitted as a quote for coverage. It seems that their labeling the EXTRA series as having full blue tips, and a gold ring. I'm having a hard time uploading pics, but mine looks just like this with the "A" tips.

Anyone have experience with this system? Can you find me a link showing the cost of the one with the "a" style tips and no gold ring?

can you post better pictures of the whole thing, hard to help you this way.

And a lot of exhausts have those blue tips btw, it doesn't mean your exhaust is necessarily Amuse.

I'm having hard time uploading the photos i've been taking... saying that there is a size limit.

The appriasal person isn't unsure of whether its an Amuse. They're just not sure if its the Amuse Titan R1 Extra or "non extra". Apparently the difference is about $1100, and i'm not sure what the difference actually is (it can't seriously be just an all blue tip with a gold ring)

Does anyone know the what constitutes the difference between the two exhausts?

Upload your pics to a site like photobucket and then link them here. That way you can post some decent sized pictures.

Most good collision centers have a relationship with an exhaust shop. Find out who yours deals with and call them. They can probably help. If you figure out which exhaust you have the insurance should take care of it. A buddy of mine just got a brand new Borla set up after getting rear ended this way.

Difference between the two exhaust seems to be an "extra" muffler to quiet the exhaust note down some.

http://assaultech.com/amuse/amuse_r1.../i-291351.aspx

The Amuse R1 Titan Extra exhaust features a unique titanium finish for the tail and muffler body for that unique aftermarket appearance. The R1 Titan Extra features an additional mid muffler to keep noise to a minimum whilst still enabling the highest performance with the straight through design.

Features
- Extra Muffler for quieter operation compared to the R1 Titan
- Straight design means improved exhaust flow over standard
- Full titanium construction weighing in most cases more than 1/2 standard

Muffler Bodies available
- A Body – Blue Burnt Ends
- B Body – Completely Burnt Blue
- C Body – No Finish

Tip Finishes available:
- A Tail – Blue Burnt Finisher Tip
- B Tail – Blue Burnt Complete Finisher
- C Tail – No Finish
- Gold Ring is also available for some models

The extra has a gold ring on inside of tips the normal series does not. If it has gold ring on inside it is extra.

AxeKick, from what I've seen posted you have your answer. Insurance company won't he thrilled but who cares. Using the word nice when describing that exhaust doesn't even come close. I've seen them for sale on our MARKETPLACE for $2k used/slightly damaged....G/L
