Opinions on which "mesh" to fill bumper holes with

Have the Nismo Replica bumper that I got a while back and didn't mind the holes in the beginning, but now they're starting to annoy me. I was going to stop by a metal supply company today and pick some stuff up.

Just wanted to know what kind of "mesh" you guys think would look best on my car. I'll post a couple pics of my bumper.

Dark metal ? Chrome ? Large diamonds ? Small diamonds ?

Thoughts much appreciated !

Oh, and if it makes any difference...I have the Bluebat turn signal overlays on now...they're not on in the pics...

I put the Stillen mesh inserts into the openings on my stock bumper. I think they are just Street Scenes grills that Stillen resells.

I have a silver coupe so I went for the satin silver finish. They are a diamond shape, which looks ok. I just like the overall look because it looks a little cleaner with the holes filled and on a silver car I think it looks nice.

At work right now so I can't post any pictures. The Stillen site shows what they look like, but on a Red coupe. Definitely less flashy on my silver coupe.

If you're having custom grills made up, I've always liked the woven wire mesh design that makes up the grill inserts on some of the sport editions models from Jaguar. It has a nice texture and is more interesting than just flat wire or sheets that have been punched.

Just my 2 cents.

I have the exact same problem. I have a Nismo bumper sitting around that Im gonna put on after this winter (dont wanna abuse the hell out of the thing already) and I've been debating what to put in there. I've been figuring since its black, it should be hidden a little bit more (as in not as obvious that there are 2 huge holes there), but I did notice the JWT TT setup seems to place the dual intercoolers right where the holes would be.....

/me ponders if he will be the next FI G on the board.....

I vote "twin Intercooler mesh".

A little photochop

This isn't actually a picture of my car, but something that was photochopped to simulate it. The mesh is actually just the existing mesh that has been lightened to look silver. The mesh on the Stillen grills is a little tighter and the insert almost sits flush with the bumper.

Re: A little photochop

I just painted the stock lower grill silver.... A lot cheaper than the Stillen and IMO looks better as well.
