6MT Coupe
Been using Amsoil in my gearbox and diff since 2006. Will never go back to over priced dealer oem stuff. Amsoil and Red Line make GL-4 for our 6mt's

Does anybody have any oil analysis test results from sources such as Blackstone?

I'd like to see some hard evidence of the "best" fluid for our tranny's.

Lot's of good info here:

I don't think a used oil analysis on gear oil from the tranny or diff would tell you that much, to be honest. It's not dealing with the same amount of factors that motor oil is dealing with, and if you're using synthetic, it doesn't really wear down, per say(although some cheaper ones supposedly do shear)... it just picks up metal shavings or possibly water-based contaminants if you have ever had the car in a flood or real deep-puddle/water-crossing situation.

I have the same dilemma right now about which fluid to use, I'm going with dealer stuff, I have to go there anyways to get washers and stuff so might as well get it.

My Local dealership in Toronto is still selling J-matic fluid, wasnt there some info on 1 of the threads on this site, where master mechanics were advising against mixing the J-matic and S-matic fluid (as in wen u would do a drain and refill)...?

plus if ur car came with J-matic, they recommended u stick with J-matic.
Any info available that says otherwise...?

Yes, you can use this for the gearbox, though I've had reports that it makes shifting a bit notchy when the weather turns cool. Others have been perfectly content with it.

And SVG 75W90 for the diff.

Never herd of master techs advising against mixing Matic J with the S. Matic S is the replacement fluid for Matic-J its compatible.
