Best Tranny and Diff fluids

Hey guys, I want to change out my transmission fluid and differential fluid

EDIT: I have a 6MT

I found this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/...you-use-2.html
but its a pretty old thread with not many results.

Are people still pretty fond of the Amsoil 75W-90 Transmission & Transaxle fluid for the transmission and the Sever Gear 75W-90 for the differential?

**NOTE: I have the Limited-slip Diff

Thanks for your suggestions!

Mobil 1 fully synthetic 75w90 in diff and tranny. You will need 6 btls.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read somewhere that the OEM tranny fluid is the best for the 6MTs.

You're right only use GL4 in the tranny, GL5 has additives in it that can damage the syncros, OEM is your best bet but IIRC Redline also makes a GL4 MTF.

If you have a Stock VLSD then any Diff fluid will work.

Personally I used Amsoil SVG with my Diff which has the VLSD, you do not need any diff additives for the VLSD since its sealed inside.

I've gone with OEM tranny fluid twice.

i run amsoil 75-90 in my tranny and diff and i think its working very well. no need for the severe gear. you only need that when your doing a lot of towing or putting a big strain on the differential. the normal amsoil gear oil is all you need for daily/spirited driving.

Is that the GL-5 amsoil or GL-4?

AMSOIL or Red Line synthetics are the best lubricants for your trans/differential, runs cooler/lubricates better and lasts longer. Better choice than OE fluids....
