What do you guys think is fair?
Thanks for all the replies. I ended up getting a 2005 black coupe 6mt with the factory 19s. It has 8,000 more miles than my old sedan and i had to add 2 grand. IMO it was way worth it. thanks again
Im a car salesman. 4K plus your car is friggin bananas. There trying to rip you off. Although coupes generally go for more than sedans, its still bull and you can find a better deal. Best bet is sell privately and then buy. Find out the blackbook value of the coupe in fair condition cause thats what they gave the last person who traded it in. Then see how much its marked up from there. Then you'll know where you stand. Also take into consideration that they probably had some reconditioning cost. maybe 1000 to 1500 depending on what they replaced when they took it in. Ask for a list of everything done when they reconditioned it. Then you'll know where you stand financially.
As for your sedan. They are going to give you around, prob a little less than KBB fair for your trade. If they are saying they can give you more, like good or excellent its because they have the money to loose in the other car. Good luck!
