G35! Have you heard a G37 rattle on start up??
Ester oil is needed to keep the rattling down...no thanks. Rattles = engine wear.

g35; friend of mine owns a g37, while the interior is huge upgrade over the g35, the exterior (like some comments here) has shifted more towards the luxurious design and away from the sport like design the g35's have. Overall, it really depends on whether you want to mod your car or not, if so a g35 would be a fairly better choice. If I were in your shoes, it would definitely come down to personal preferences and what you rather prefer in your car. good luck op

But if you throw twin turbos on a G37 it will be pushing 450-500whp. Maybe twins on an HR would be close.

Well, I found an 07 G35 in Jacksonville for 23,000... i'm sure i could talk them down a little bit. It's Red (which Im still not sure if I like on the G) and the 6MT.

I'll be trading in my car which is worth about 1,000 more than I owe plus i was thinking of trading in my 08 GSXR if they'll take bikes... I just never ride it (ever), and its completely paid off, so that would knock which ever car I get down quite a bit.

I was really looking for black, and kind of think that i'll roll with the 35 over the 37. THe 37 looks mean after body kits and everything, but the 35 just has so much more of the sportier feel right out of the gate

Again, not sure if im feeling the red though... the silver is so common and black is a pain to keep clean lol... so idk

I love my coupe but I would trade it for a G37 in a heartbeat. The G37 may not look as nice but the interior and engine make up for it.

i test drove a G37 while i was waiting for the AirBag recall to be done and... EHHhHHH.

Exterior: G35 > G37
Interior: nice and has cool features, but my G def felt more responsive. not impressed.

You have to remember... you're on a G35 Forum.

Ask this on a G37 forums, and you'd get a different answer than you would here.

Like I've said before, Infiniti screwed up the lines on the G37 imo. Kinda like what Lexus did with the SC400.

Exterior - 35
Interior/motor - 37

Matter of taste

If I could find one, I would go with a 06-07 G35 coupe with low mileage. G35 will one day be a classic, Im not to sure about the G37. Just my 2 cents

I'd disagree somewhat.. There are a number of cars I'd rather own older body styles. Acura TL, WRX STi, Certain years for the Accord, Civic, Eclipse, etc..

I think the g35 nailed the look the first time, it's perfect. The g37 is not a bad looking car, they just took a step backwards with the exterior (interior is nice though).

But yes.. This is a g35 forum, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions

I'm not a fan of the G37 body style, I think they got it right with the G35 and then messed it up.

If I HAD to choose a new car I'd get a 370Z over the new G37, but the whole 2 seater thing doesn't work for everyone.

+infiniti (pun intended)

Seriously though its your call. Do you want the sportier looking/driving car or do you want the more refined luxury sports car?

You could list out pros and cons all day long but my personal recommendation is drive them back to back with similar builds (don't drive the 6MT 37 then drive like a 04 base 35 thats not apples to apples my friend). See which one you like more.

To be honest I've had my 35 for a year and some change and am begining to do mods to it this year. But with the amount I've saved up to do said mods I could potentially trade it in for a 2009 37 and almost break even just depends on the payments.... not sure. Had I waited another year to buy I would have most definitely (37 coupes 1 year ago were hitting 35k still for lower milage ones now the same are at around 30k... not cool).
