G35, hands down in terms of looks over G37. G35 Coupes with Brembo are pretty awesome IMO and stack up pretty well compared to the G37 brakes, especially considering that they have the nice gold Brembo paint scheme(purely aesthetics) and the car is 200+ pounds lighter(less weight to stop).
Maybe stock to stock the G35 looks better. But a slighly modded G37 kills the G35 (in my opinion).

Bigger is always better. The G37 akebonos are much bigger than the brembos and look amazing. You could always powdercoat them gold if you want for 200 dollars. Personally I dont like the gold anyways, nothing on my car is gold, they just stick out and look gaudy.

I work in the car business and own a 2006 G35 Coupe. We just got a 2008 G35 Coupe. I like a lot of the things they changed on the inside, not sure about the outside yet. I think I like the old body style.

The g37s have alot more potential looks wise, the interior is a big upgrade, but as far as potential for speed and handling i would say thats the area where the g35 has the g37, the g37 has a better motor but its heavier than the g35, personally i think the g37 sedan and the convertible looks better than the coupe (when the tops up) of course thats going to be the heaviest of the bunch. If you want the more luxurious modern reliable car and dont car about performance just go with g37

Maybe it's just me, but I really like the exhaust note of the G35 better than the G37

If you're really that into performance. A G35 wouldn't even do it for you. G35's are heavy as hell and have almost no potential for speed and handling unless you go FI, and you'll still probably run 12's or higher.

lol these are all bias opinions.

Go with the 37, looks better in and out. Plus, if you decide on the 35.. in a few years, you will regret it.

I am very happy with my G37, and so will you. Dont get me wrong, the G35 is also nice.

I disagree, they have second z's out there, vq35 an make up to 1245whp proven by sound perfromance, if theres a 8 second z then i dont see why there cant be at least a 9 second g. 12 seonds and higher, maybe you should research a bit more theres videos of g beating a gtr, im not saying that it one of the fastest cars, but it does have potential if you have it built and tuned properly by someone that knows what theyre doing.

We're talking cars here. Not engines. The 350z platform is similar, but not entirely the same. The reason you see 8-10 second 350z's is because people don't bother with the G35. If you want all out performance, why pick the bulkier one?

I've done my research. The result? I traded in my G35 for a Mitsubishi Evo. Drove my friend's Evo IX with a mere exhaust mod and i LOL'd at how much faster it was than my G35. Potential? I found it.

Hell, even the bulky Evo X is pulling amazing times.

"300WHP X Goes 12.24 @ 111MPH."
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-x-g...24-111mph.html

Props to the 1245WHP VQ by SP..... But AMS is getting over 1150AWHP out of the tiny 2.0L 4G63. Now that is something to go wtf about.

He didnt say Z, he said G35. Any car has potential, if you have enough money, it doesnt mean it is cost effective though. Actually the G37 has alot more potential than the G35 anyways. Much stronger engine and reacts to mods much better. I have seen several G37 dyno over 300 whp NA with acouple bolt ons, much less G35s.

G35 with GTM TT kit at 15 psi put down 521 whp 421 tq
G37 with GTM TT kit at 8 psi put down 536 whp 426 tq
G37 with GTM TT kit at 12 psi put down 612 whp 475 tq
(All on same dyno.)

Incase you missed it, almost HALF the boost and still makes more power.

Plain and simple more power and much safer on a G37 than it is on a G35 and alot more potential. Hell, the G35 motors are prone to breaking down completely stock (Oil Consupmtion), even before you add boost.

Well considering you're asking this on G35Driver most will say the 35. Though i do think that the exterior blows the 37 away.(37 is a lil too girly lookin for me, not to say it can't look mean, it's just more feminine looking) The interior of the 37 is definitely nicer than the G35.

Basically when it comes down to it its personal preference, but if someone came up to me and told me they'd trade me for their 37, i would respectfully decline. I could never see myself owning a 37, maybe the next model G. Plus overall IMO the 35 crowd is alot more laid back.

^^^ I have never once heard anyone call my car girlie.

But honestly I use to have the same thoughts about the G37 when I owned my G35. I always said I would never drive one even if someone gave it to me for free. Then I drove one, bought one, and now cant beleive I ever was willing to settle for a G35.

Just like navigation. I always said I dont need something like that.... Now I cant live without it.

I guess ignorance is bliss.

To me, the G37 just looks a bit more luxurious. I think at first when it just came out people had a lot of mixed reactions because the G35 lines were a lot straighter, while the G37 had curvier lines that looked like it belonged on a Lexus. But ofcourse after the G37 was put in the hands of modders, the car looks incredible.

The G35 is undeniably sexy. The G37 is as well.

Whatever floats your boat.

Yeah i donno, first time i went and saw a 37, first thing my GF says "OMG wtf is that a solara" i about died laughing, which unfortunately i thought was a pretty accurate statement, and after hearing the same type of comments from almost every age group from both men and women you gotta believe it's pretty accurate, though looks are subjective so it really doesn't mean much haha. Like i said not to say it CAN'T look mean cause there is proof that it can look dope (2c and Stoof)

Just for me picking a car is 90% about the actual looks. I really don't care too much about having a crazy nice interior or navigation, heck or even heated seats. lol

It all just comes down to preference.
