i had an 06 35 and now have the 37. as far as looks go, i couldn't stand the head on view of my 35. it reminded me of a nissan versa. well, maybe not a versa, but it definitely looks "surprised" like the versa does. oh, i had an mrev 2, intake and exhaust, and it was nowhere near as fast as my g37 was stock.

Front view looks fine with a little modification (I just grabbed the first pic I could find in the picture share):

imo, neither one is aggressive stock. with a few changes, both can be very aggressive looking. but to be honest, i think it's easier with the 37. the fenders come rolled from the factory, and they look great with just wheels and a drop.

mine with my first mod...tanabe nf210

older body styles are the fad. I mean hell...look at the new challenger lol. everyone wants a 67 ford or chevy these days. i love my g and i would not trade it until the wheels explode and the body completely oxidizes

^haha your comparing american muscle with a japanese import car. No way in hell is that a valid comparison. To make this comparison more ez for you, I like to put it in terms like this...

If you want a car that everyone and they moma have, go with the G35...
If you want a car that turns heads and gets compliments (not to mention very few on the road), go with the G37...

Thats why I decided to not get a G35 in the first place. My high school buddy drives a G35, and every time I pull up with my coupe, he wishes he would of waited as the G37 wasn't available at the time. But go with what YOU want. Never let anyone make the decision for you, its like having the dealer SELL YOU a car, rather than you purchasing one from them. Both cars have their pros and cons, but go with what you want, not us here in the forums.

I understand that the comparison is a bit off being american vs japanese but I was just trying to state that the older body styles of vehicles were better.. I rather have a 240sx or older g with the same power as the g35/37. the G37 is the better car but its not something that I would prefer over my current g35 because I like the base body style a little better. It's all about preference of what someone likes... Older body styles with usually win over new age.

I just dont know... ive beem looking almost everyday. The 37s are a bit pricey when I find one and for an 06 or 07 6MT with 30-40,000 miles on them for around 23 or 24K is a bit much for me... considering theyll need work done a lot sooner getting a used car.

Im getting a little annoyed by not being able to find anything i either can afford or like !

Im just going go buy a friggin' Kia and call it a day lol

Maybe prices are different in the States, but I don't understand how highschool kids can afford to have an Infiniti this new. Spoiled children perhaps?

A used 2008 w/ ~40,000km is still over 30,000. I can't think of any highschool kid that would turn down a G35.

All in all, pick what you find best. We shouldn't need to convince you about anything. If you're dropping thousands of dollars based on what we said, I have a "business" I can convince you needs lots of investing.

You're talking pure fantasy.

Dyno numbers are one thing.. Manageable numbers are something else entirely.

You show me a car running an agressive tune (like you mention above) and I'll show you a car (with very rare exception) that requires constant attention to run optimally.

Event cars "built and tuned properly by someone that knows what they're doing" require tweaks and tunes to keep them in line. Fact.

For me, no brainer. The 37 is the superior car. For those who say the 35 looks better, that's subjective and likely based on what they have in the driveway. Take a look at some mildly modded 37s and you'll agree they're no slouch. That, the engine, the tranny, and the interior are easy choices. The rest is quibbling and personal taste.

All cars have problems. Lots of guys who have problems with their cars beat on their cars and expect them to be the race cars that they AREN'T. Gs look fast, but in reality, they aren't. The fact that you can spend thousands on NA mods and realize mild gains tells me that the motor is pretty peaked coming out of the box..

Much stronger engine and reacts to mods much better. I have seen several G37 dyno over 300 whp NA with acouple bolt ons, much less G35s.

G35 with GTM TT kit at 15 psi put down 521 whp 421 tq
G37 with GTM TT kit at 8 psi put down 536 whp 426 tq
G37 with GTM TT kit at 12 psi put down 612 whp 475 tq
(All on same dyno.)

Incase you missed it, almost HALF the boost and still makes more power.

Plain and simple more power and much safer on a G37 than it is on a G35 and alot more potential. Hell, the G35 motors are prone to breaking down completely stock (Oil Consupmtion), even before you add boost.

Love the G37 interior, G35 exterior i like better... For me it would be a tough decision... Only reason i would rather take the G35 coupe is because the difference i would save from buying a G37 i would throw into mods...
