tires?

I bought new rears last year, the bridgestones that came on the car, I believe they're good for 40,000 miles. anyway, I definitely didn't put that many miles on my car and the inside of the tires are bald. there's a white part showing and I'm getting nervous. is it dangerous to drive the car? I've never seen anything like it...I don't do burnouts or anything like that. I actually drive pretty conservatively. help if you can

Sounds like you have some serious uneven wear. Get some new tires asap and be sure to get them balanced. Even with burnouts and daily driving you shouldn't see the cords after one year.

Is your car stock? You definitely need to have your alignment checked as well.

bridgestone potenzas are NOT 40k tires. def not on a coupe. maybe 25-30 tops cuz of how the alignment is. get new tires AND an alignment!

You probably got the bridgestone RE050A, and no it does not last 40k miles. This tire is made out of a soft compound rubber and has a tread wear of about 240-260 which is pretty low. You cannot maximize tread wear by tire rotations becuase our wheels are staggered. The reason why the inside of your tires are wearing out because your alignment, camber is out. Again with this car there is nothing much you can do to get it withing specs unless you get some after market camber kits. Just get new tires since they are worn out. GL....
