OMG.. Did I buy a used G with FRAME DAMAGE? Please LOOK (pics inside)
Didn't have to look too far to find that
lol
That isn't normal, I've been under countless G35s and Zs and never once have I seen the "bondo" that jibberjabbers is referring to nor have I seen shotty welds.

Can someone take a pic of the G undercarriage? Specially the same spot as the above?
You can tell the above undercarriage bondo crap is OEM because of the color.
Here is another undercarriage shot. Notice the same pink bondo near the exhaust area.

Hmm my car has some of that welding too, I just looked, and found an old picture that has it. Guess thats normal then.

People need to post some more pics lol

Buying a used car in general is a risk. I bought my car used and one accident was reported and showed up in carfax and there was something else but didnt state what. I come to find out half my car was repainted. The original damage was supposedly just the front driver side and the fender had been replaced. Although I found out somethin had been done to the rear bumper since the lower sill was painted and where the G35 emblem goes, the paint came off when I debadged. Probably because the idiot put it back on before letting the paint cure.
i agree, those welds look horrible. They don't look like factory welds. My muffler guy can do a better weld job then that.
There's no real adverse effects for daily driving, but in extreme cornering your going to get more chassis flexing on that part then the rest of the car since the structural integrity has been weaken from the damage. So it may lead to unpredictable handling at the limit.
Also i dont think you can register the car as clean title with that kind of damage depending on what state you live in.

See post #20..
MY welding looks like **** in real life I can assure you.
Car has a clean title tho.
Is this what people typically do when the frame of the car has been compromised???
Weld it back together like that??

Saw it. He mentioned for others to post pics as well.
Can't find the pic I was referring to but I might be getting under the car soon. If I do I'll snap a pic.

As I recall you bought that G at a very good price, often once frame damage has been corrected it's closer to specs than factory. When you have a 4 wheel alignment, they'll be able to tell just how good a job was done. The 20" wheels are not conducive with a nice/comfortable ride....
