Most cars are first welded by robots then finished off by humans.

Perfectly normal. Get your self an alignment. If you're not dropped get rid of those 20s because they probably look terrible.

thats all normal looking. the rear subframe will show welds all around. get your tires balanced and do an alignment.

thats not actually the frame of your car. its an aluminum subframe for the rear suspension. its hard to tell if thats the orignall welding, though it does look pretty crappy. maybe you can go to a dealer and look at a few used cars and compare them with yours.

If that's the rear subframe I can tell you with 99% certainty that it is normal. It comes that way from factory. My car has never been in an accident, and when I got an alignment I noticed those welds on both sides.

lol who told you that? That kind of damage to the frame, no way its going to have the same chassis rigidity as stock.

its like crushing a soda can and bending it back. You can bend it back to its original shape but its not quit the same as it was before you crushed it.

For daily driving you wouldn't really notice, but you would probably notice when your driving at the limit like in a track situation or if your doing some kind of emergency manuver.

On frames with really bad damage, you notice the car to drift in a certain direction even when you have perfectly balanced tires and driving on a flat road.

States like California consider frame damage, automatic salvage title or totaled. Some insurances won't even insure salvage title cars. It also kills resale value.

The last two reasons are the main reasons why people stay away from salvage. For daily driving you probably wouldnt notice unless the damage was really bad.

Also,
Insurance typically only pays to get the car back into specs. So if the shop needs the subframe shifted all the way to one direction and the camber settings maxed-out to get the car to align, but it aligns, then the car will be returned to the owner. Most of us would notice and not allow this, but the everyday driver probably often doesn't notice.

A car that aligns correctly, but still has bent parts will not handle correctly.

That rear suspension member looks fine . Welds look bad but they are indeed factory welds . Iv seen them like that on a bunch of G's .That also is not the frame of the car it is the rear suspension member which can be relaced . It is definitly 100% normal though . Dont listen to the guys saying thats frame dammage cuz its not at all

if thats true, then my opinion of nissan just went down. The welds on my 04 civic weren't as bad as the ones in the picture.

It looks like someone just took a tig welder and went to town on it.
