where is a good place to get a Remote Start Alarm installed in or near Irvine?
i got a 05 V35 6MT.

Best Buy sells and installs them. However, pay attention to the small print because there are additional parts and fees associated with different types of cars so you will be paying more than just the price of the basic hardware.

Agreed. You will need to go to a smaller more specialty car audio shop.

 

Ask in the SoCal section. Don't go to best buy for the install, they don't know crap.

I installed remote start on my 2003 G35 Coupe A/T for about $100 and few hours of home work and man it can't be that difficult even for 05 V35 6MT- you need a little home work with BCM connections and the remote start/module you want. I installed simple Crimestoper RS4-g2 and Fortin EVO-ALL module. In total 12 connections and I bet a few more connections in MT- may be total of 15 connections. My guess would the labor can't be more than $150 ($10 a connection).
I basically got all BCM connectors wiring from ESM and double checked with my car before install and it took me about 2 hours of install and I only selected feature I wanted. It was a fun afternoon project.

IMO: If you are going to have a shop do the work, ask them if they have done on your specific car .. if not walk away. Find a shop that has installed on exactly your car year and model as wiring do change in same model & even same year.
