Can't switch to Sat radio

I have an 04 coupe. I can't switch to the sat input. I press the
button and nothing happens, just like when you press Tape without a
tape in. It's like the HU doesn't recognize the receiver. I called
Sirius and subscribed to a 3 month plan because I heard I needed to
activate the receiver. But shouldn't I be able to change it to 184
even if I don't subscribe?

I bought an isimple iPod hookup, but I can't use it if I can't switch to sat.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did it work before you hooked up the iPod thing?

How did you get the receiver id to activate with Sirius?

even if you didnt have the sat receiver hooked up and subscribed....when you press the button it'd say "NO SAT". so if its not doin that, then imma say your circuit board is done.

No, it didn't. Same thing.
It's printed on the Sirius receiver.

great. Where is that located? Is it the board that would have the Sat button on it? If so, you'd think I'd still be able to use the mode button on the steering wheel to switch to sat, which I can't

Any idea how much they run?

The Sirius reciever will stay play their preview channel if it is not activated. So if you could not get that before.

Does everything else work on the radio (CD, Radio, Tape if you got one...lol)?

Maybe the Sirius reciever is dead or the circuit board as stated above.
