I know people have been asking this question and speculating, but now that a few of you have new 05's, please weigh the fronts and backs when you get a chance and post here.

I'm not sure how much the 04 stock 18's weigh, but can somebody also post that so we can compare? Cool, thanks.

i would expect them to be LIGHTER, since theyre forged... no!?

 

04 18's are 24 pounds each.

That is without rubber and without the air in it....LOL I just wieghed one of mine with the tire on it and it came out to 51lbs

Without. Also, just because something is forged doesn't make it lighter. We'll have to wait to have someone measure the new 19's without the rubber to know for sure. I bet we won't have an exact answer for a while...

Weigh measurements of the 19's with stock rubber (Bridgestones) is good info to have. After all, you can't drive w/out tires!

without rubber is better for comparison... air and rubber can differ from brand to brand and from tire pressure to tire pressure, albeit a few pounds, but it adds up... correct me if that sounds stupid, but i would rather go rim alone for comparison...

Send Sukairain a PM. He has the 19's on his 2004 6MT and he knows the weights. I forget what he said but I *think* he said that the rims are close to 19 pounds. Check with him to make 100% sure.

Also, are all 4 corners the same wheel size?

 

Someone posted that they were 22-24 lbs each, i forgot but if they arent lighter they are the same exact weight, and yes they are Ray's (Volk) forged wheels!

I weighted them with tires and they came out to be around 46lbs and 50lbs (f/r) on my scale. At first I thought the wheels are not that much lighter than stock 18", then I found out those damn Bridgestone RE050A weight 27lbs front and 30lbs rear. (Note to Infiniti - it's pretty dumb to spend all that R&D money on forged wheels and slap on the heaviest tires on the market) With alittle math the wheels themselves come out to be 19lbs front and 20lbs rear. This is not a definite number as I've been told that my scale is 'optimistic' which makes me alittle uneasy.

For comparison sake, most people indicated the stock 18" weights 49lbs with tires. My front tires with 15k miles weights 47lbs on my scale.
