Hey I know someone that has a 2003 g35 coupe with brembo brakes. He is getting his car taken by the bank becasue he lost his job and cant pay for the car.. I have a 2005 g35 coupe as every one knows only 03 and 04 came with brembo brakes Is it hard to change them and put them on my car? Is it just calipers or is it alot more? please let me know asap I need to know because this needs to be done as soon as possible before they take his car... Thanks for all the help!!!!

not hard, just need to trim dust shields to fit the Brembo rotors and make sure to grab the rear Brembo rear caliper mounting bolts. everything else is direct swap.

Well ill give him my brakes so its not like we are distroying the car it will be the same as it was just no brembo brakes lol

How in the world is he defrauding the bank?! Until the bank takes the car he can still do whatever he wants to his car. If he tints it right now is he defrauding the bank too? Get real. Also the bank wouldn;t care if it has brembos or no brembos.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm fairly sure it's not going to be just a straight across trade. My understanding is that Brembo's require pretty much specialized everything.. calipers, rotors, mounting hardware, etc etc. Obviously the key component is the calipers, but I'm not so sure it's a simple swap as others are suggesting. More research is definitly needed.

^i'm not "suggesting" anything. i'm speaking from experience, considering i have OEM Brembo's swapped onto my sedan.

Huh... well there ya go... Thats news to me as well. Is there a DIY on the site? I've always read that Brembos require a ton of specialized equipment hence the high price on big brake kits. So if you guys have done the swap whats a reasonable price for a Set of Used Brembo Calipers/whole kit?

No for the first 80-0 breaking distance.

Tint adds value. Downgrading the brakes doesn't. The bank owns the car that he paid for. Did he pay for a car w/ or w/o brembos?

He could of course take off the tint before he returned it as it wasn't on the car when he purchased it

I knew a few repo guys who make a tidy sum taking off aftermarket parts and selling/trading for stock with people before the bank takes possession.

If he has aftermarket parts, dont think they could get taken off before the bank takes it. The bank wants less aftermarket parts for the AUCTION IT ALWAYS GOES TO ANYWAY.
