Came home to the little SURPIRSE!!!
....^....This kinda attitude is extremely ignorant! If someone sees you doing this you'll be the one making that first phone call from the slammer. Since when do two wrongs make a right? This is exactly how feuds/wars begin and it's not worth the retaliation that begins with a fender bender....

I'm the same way- I've been there and gone through it numerous times. Sometimes you just got to make do with what you can. Ignorance is always out there and many people will rather uphold their pride and whatnot than to admit their fault(s).
Long story short, a cop came and inspected the damage. He clearly saw that she hit my G. So he brought her outside and told her that the evidence clearly shows that she hit my car. Of course she denied the hit. Until he said he would charge her for a hit and run. Which is criminal. It finally wore her down and she said she would pay for the damage.
Couple weeks ago i went to her with some qoutes from the body shop. She of course acted like a jerk and said she wasnt gonna pay up because she had no money for that.
So now i have to go through my insurance
. Good thing i got her insurance information. My insurance company said if there is a 100% proof that I wasnt at fault. It would not affect my rate, and i wouldnt have to pay a penny. So that shouldnt be a problem
.........I hope.
Similar thing happened at my friends building. They got the tape of the person hitting the car and inspecting the damage from the super. It might be too late now but there might be video evidence of the incident.
Augh man i had this done to me a few months back with the old apts i was in..I confronted the guy and he completely denied it even with proof...I didnt report it because the guy didnt have insurance..Im no too much into getting the law involved but he deff got his!!!
Apartments suck. I don't miss those days at all. Best wishes for getting it repaired.
Will your insurance company waive your deductible and subrogate the claim with the "responsible" party, or will you have to cover your deductible?

Even though she admitted to hitting the car after lying about it she really needs to be charged with hit and run, I would insist on it.
You know the other person is lying so maybe you should have also lied to the police and said that you saw the vehicle hit your car but by the time you got outside the other vehicle was gone.
